We were pleasantly greeted this morning with Paul Bruemmer (of Red Door Interactive)'s post on iMediaConnection.com titled "Snap.com: Even Better than Google?" Paul makes many good points and highlights many of Snap's core features, including Visual Search, user behavioral data to assist in ranking results, co-mingled algo and sponsored results, our rapidly growing in-house index, and our CPA advertising offering. He also hinted at Snap's main goal: Improving Speed to Satisfaction for our searchers over traditional "blue-lined" search engines. Hats off to Paul: He got it right. It looks like he did a lot of research on Snap, put us to the test - and combined information available from our site, other research, studies, and his own recent experience to acknowledge what we've been working to message to the public: Snap is faster, Snap is easier to use, Snap knows what you're looking for, Snap overcomes the obstacles in today's world of online marketing, and, best of all, Snap really is a killer app for search. And don't forget about Snap's other killer apps (they're still out there): Snap News and Snap Jobs. |
