Welcome to Snapshot, the weekly skinny on the hottest searches on Snap.com, the other way to Search.

Snapshot for October 13th, 2006

Clumsy injury good for your career? It would seem so, as web-interest in Eva Longoria rose as quickly as she fell after tripping on the steps of her trailer on the Desperate Housewives set. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, just some minor bruising of her ribs and ego. Speaking of accidents waiting to happen, Robert Downey, Jr. has been cast as the title role in the Paramount Pictures production of Marvel Comics Iron Man. Seems like a good fit for an actor who has spent so much time behind iron bars. Let’s hope his search ranking is the only thing getting high.

Soup Fans Rejoice! The highly coveted “Most Searched Soup” title for the week goes to Chicken Noodle Soup as our fourth most popular search! This burned the competition with potato soup ending up at number 12 and chili recipes coming in at number 7 (although, really isn’t chili more of a stew?). Interestingly, all of these handily beat out sex which was only #24. You people must be hungry. Andy Warhol was on to something.

What do Boy Meets World star Ben Savage and legendary curmudgeon Mark Twain have in common? Reports of their deaths have been greatly exaggerated (although that’s considerably less true of Twain than it once was). Pranksters put out the word that Ben Savage met an untimely demise. Fortunately for Ben, it wasn’t true. Less fortunate is the fact that premature death is the only thing that could catapult Ben out of the shadow of his famous older brother, Wonder Years star Fred Savage. I hope you’re listening Daniel Baldwin.

Now on to the authentically dead, two hundred and fifty years after his birth Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is still drawing interest. Searches put Mozart just on top of Jennifer Aniston and Elisha Cuthbert. And let’s face it, that ain’t a bad place to be.

Lastly, we’ve noticed a few Yahoo.com and google.com searches. Searching for one search engine on another search engine is kind of the Web equivalent of crying out another person’s name in the heat of passion.  Faux pas? Oui!

Keep Searching!
