As resident Emerging Technology scout I made it a point to attend the BarCampLA event this weekend. It was a two day ad-hoc collaborative meeting space where attendees were required to present/demo something 'innovative' or 'interesting' as part of admittance to the event.

I presented an in-depth demonstration of Snap.com and reviewed its major differentiating features, how the Snap Blog helped launch our company with 'The other way to Launch' contest by using a digg style voting/submission system, and then at the end, fielded some Q and A about Snap. The session lasted about 30 minutes, most of them were under an hour to allow people to attend many sessions and keep the discussions and collaboration momentum going.

As part of the event, many folks were live blogging, posting images to flickr and podcasting their presentations. I will have an mp3 link posted here as soon as I get the file converted. In the meantime, here are some links to go check out the BarCampLA event as documented by everyone so far.
