We've been running hard this year to create an advertising environment that is meaningful and impactful to our customers. Part one of that goal was to first create a site that is useful for searchers and offers them a reason to try Snap. We launched the new Snap just over 6 months ago and have incrementally improved it to make it better. More improvements are slated to come, but we think we have gone a long ways this year in accomplishing this goal. It's always nice too when other people notice, and we have been mentioned in a number of publications, most notably the Time Magazine, 50 Coolest Websites of 2006.

After the launch, we began to turn our focus outward to engage potential partners to work with Snap. This is a surprisingly long and complex process, but the efforts are starting to pay off with implementations that have gone live in the last month or so. I wanted to highlight a few of our new partners here:

Netvibes is a user customizable homepage to track all your net activity. I use it to keep an eye on potential partners for Snap, while keeping an eye on all my eBay auctions. Check out Snap in the Search Widget.

MyPoints is a community of online shoppers that get rewarded for shopping online with My Points partners. You can find just about anything you might be looking for on My Points. The long Thanksgiving holiday weekend is coming up, save yourself some time, shop online, and earn some rewards for doing it. Download the Snap powered MyPoints toolbar and earn points for searching.

Blue Organizer is a useful tool for you Firefox browser users from Adaptive Blue. It allows you to find relevant information related to the activity you are doing in your browser page. Reading a review about the new James Bond movie? Use the Blue Menu to find all the information related to other reviews, the new James Bond - Daniel Craig, and other great information.
