Snap represented itself with a small contingent at Gnomedex 7.0 in Seattle, Washington at the Bell Harbor Conference Center. We were able to sit in on the majority of the sessions each day and absorb the latest in blog tech, social networking and emergering rich media solutions. The discussion topics although some what preset, def drifted in and out of conversation around total information awareness (or how much of your life was/could be posted digitally)… This was amplified by the talk that Justin Kan from Justin.tv presented… He mentioned that although his life may be getting boring to tape now, there are many other shows on his network and elsewhere that are more compelling. In addition Vanessa Fox talked about how her name and image was tainted when some people maliciously SEO'd her name attached to some NSFW phrases… and how she embraced them and re-invented herself by registering a domain with some of those same phrases attached to her name… Brilliant! The evening reception after the first day was held at the Seattle Aquarium where appetizers and drinks were served and you could view baby Salmon, an Octopus and some backlit Jelly Fish… way cool idea to have it there! All in all it was a great event to meet fellow Bloggers and Widget Makers and discuss the future of the Blogosphere… |
