Many of you have asked for a MapShot. Today we are happy to announce the first version of it.

This Shot is activated of links pointing to Google Maps. Once triggered it displays a map of an address, a point of interest or a location specified using latitude and longitude.

The standard controls offered by Google Maps work - you can zoom, drag or change views (map/satellite/hybrid). In addition, we added the ability to perform quick local searches for hotels, gas stations and restaurants nearby the center point. This can be done by clicking on one of the three icons located at the lower right corner of the map.

Here are a few examples:

• Address: 130 W Union St, Pasadena, CA 91103
• Point of Interest: Disneyland
• Lat/Long
