Today at ad:tech and Thursday at BlogWorld, Snap is making two big announcements:

Snap Shares

A couple of weeks ago, we mentioned a concept for sharing advertising with Snap Shots sites. Today we are very proud to introduce Snap Shares — a program for sharing ad inventory with Publishers that feature Snap Shots.

Snap Shares is actually three ways of sharing ad inventory. Sites can:

  1. Have Google serve ads via their Adsense account
  2. Display their own text or graphic ads
  3. Donate their shares of impressions to a Charity of their choice

The idea behind Snap Shares is to allow sites to…

  • Generate new advertising inventory on their site.
  • Meet their minimums for pay-out from their Ad Network sooner or increase their monthly checks.
  • Improve the user experience of their sites with richer, more interactive content.
  • All without having to shift the ads-to-content ratio of their pages.

Please note:

  • To gain access to the Snap Shares functionality, publishers that already have Snap Shots on their site, will need to import their current settings to a Snap Shots Account (see below)
  • To learn more about Snap Shares: Click here

Snap Shots Accounts

To enable Snap Shares and other new (and future) features, we are moving to an account system. This means that you'll be able to keep all your Snap Shots settings in one convenient place.

Please note:

  • If you already have Snap Shots on your site, we can import your current settings to the new account system. For security reasons you will be asked to provide the email address you used when you first signed up for Snap Shots. To create an account based on your current settings: Click here
  • If you already have Snap Shots on your site, but can't remember the email you used when you first signed up, we want to ensure you that re-installing Snap Shots is just as easy as it always was. To re-install Snap Shots on your site in under 5 minutes: Click here

Tell Us What You Think
The Snap Team has been working around the clock for months to bring you this release. We really hope you appreciate these new features and use them to their full extent. Needless to say, we are very eager to hear what you think — please share your experiences in the comments below.

Hello! Account system is a great choice for users with some sites (like me), but i have problem with it.
In my account i can see only one site, but when i try to import another site, i get message: "Our records indicate that an account is already associated with suslov@legkokredit.ru."
Site in account: www.bankogoliki.ru
Site in Snap, but not in account: www.blogbaza.ru www.ipoteka.it

We are working on adding this feature. We hope to release it next week.

Oh, thanks! I`ll be waiting!

@suslov: Importing settings for multiple domains with the same email is turning out to be more complicated than anticipated. We have not given up on this by any means but it looks like it will take longer to get it out there.

BUT, as you may have noticed already, we added the ability to "Add Snap Shots to another web site". This link should be available on the start page of your Snap Shots Account. This will essentially get you where you want to go, but it will require you to re-install new Snap Shots code on your additional sites.

Reinstall code on my sites - is not a problem!
Thank you, Erik!

hey where can i see my earnings in snapshort account.http://www.wwwportal.blogspot.com
is my blog
i have installed snapshot where can i see my earnings

@ram18y: At this time there is no way to monitor your earnings from within the Snap Account System. We are actively examining if this is doable. In the meantime you will have to use the monitoring tools of your Ad Network partner.

I tried to Import Account with my email I first signed up with and my site URL. I received the email for verification. I clicked the link in my email but could not v erify. "Verification expired" How can the verification expire immediately not to say 72 hours. Whats happening?

@Misben: Sorry for the confusion and late reply. We have had a series of snafus with our email system. If you still haven't resolved this matter, please send an email to customerservice@snap.com. And again: Sorry for the inconvenience!
