Another evidence to Snap Shots' popularity came from Lijit earlier today. They posted the latest widget stats report for the period of 9/26/07-2/12/08.

In their report, Lijit ranks Snap Shots as the 9th most popular widget (!!). Snap also continues to lead the Search category with 44%.

Note Lijit's definition for a "widget": "Any regularly-occurring functionality on a blog powered by an external service, voluntarily installed by the blog owner, and powered by Flash or Javascript."

What this means is that if you add the number of blogs that are hosted on our partners’ blogging platforms (Wordpress, Vox, LiveJournal and Xanga), you will see that Snap's popularity is even bigger than what this great report says.

We at Snap feel good about this recognition but it is not enough for us - we are aiming higher! So, if you have a friend with a blog that does not have Snap Shots on it, ask him/her to give the product a try by signing up for free. We have made plenty of improvements and enhancements in the last months: improved performance and usability, added new Shot types, released the Snap Shares program and we are planning to release more exciting features soon.
