Exactly a year ago, for Earth Day 2007, we released a lightweight application called CO2 Saver that allows PC users to quickly and easily start saving electricity when away from their computers.

CO2 Saver resides on the desktop and immediately adjusts user’s Windows Power Management settings to reduce their computer’s energy use when idle, saving energy and decreasing the demand on their power utility. CO2 Saver is available as a free download from http://co2saver.org/

To date, over 600,000 lbs of emissions have been saved by all CO2 Saver users, and if you are still not one of them, now it is the time to download it, install and start saving energy.
