Saleen Successions
Snap Staff, March 23rd, 2009
I’ve always wanted a Saleen Mustang.
For years, I’ve snapped pictures whenever and wherever I see them in the wild.
And in the back of my head an all too familiar soundtrack just won't stop playing...
But now, I’m older, have kids and a 401(k) and suddenly, some things matter more than they used to, like the state of Ford's finances.
Those American Hybrids are looking better and better.
One of these days I might just have to visit the factory in Spring Hill, TN, to see for myself.
The example above illustrates how Snap Shots technology can be used with standard hyperlinks.

A Legend In His Own Lifetime
Arnold Palmer, October 8th, 2008
At just 31, Tiger Woods has won his 61st PGA Tour, the FedEx Cup, with a 23-under 66, eight strokes ahead of second place finishers Zach Johnson and Mark Calcavecchia.
Clearly, the man is Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan and Sadaharu Oh all rolled into one.
The Anti-Iacocca
Logan Murphy, October 8th, 2008
Stephen Feinberg, founder of Cerberus Capital, appears to be the polar opposite of Chrysler’s flamboyant former CEO, Lee Iacocca. What remains to be seen, however, is whether Feinberg’s vaunted financial success with Cerberus can translate into a Chrysler Corporation turnaround in the 2000s that lives up to Iacocca’s in the 1980s.

The Snap Shots
There are 10 11 different types of Snap Shots, but many, many more are in development.
PreviewShot™
PreviewShot, formerly known as Snap Preview Anywhere, shows a preview image of whatever site a link points to. This is the default behavior for any URLs that do not trigger other Shots.
RSS Shot™
RSS Shot automatically formats and displays the RSS feed of any site that publishes one, making it ideal for blogrolls. RSS Shot allows your users get a quick, text summary of another site’s current content without leaving your site.
WikiShot™
WikiShot generates a summary of a Wikipedia entry on any given subject. Users can read it and decide whether to delve deeper. WikiShots are automatically triggered for links that point to articles on Wikipedia.
VideoShot™
VideoShot allows sites to incorporate videos from popular video sharing websites within a Shot, without cluttering layouts with big, static images or sending users away. VideoShots can be triggered by links to files hosted on: YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, Revver, Photobucket, Xanga, Veoh and MySpace.
StockShot™
StockShot displays in-depth, updated stock market info in context. StockShots are automatically generated from URLs for Yahoo! Finance, Google Finance, CNN Money, MSN MoneyCentral, MarketWatch and MorningStar.
ProfileShot™
ProfileShot makes it easy to deliver the vital details of social network profiles — username, age, gender, location, tagline and a photo — in a convenient shot.
MySpace is the first to be supported with many additional networks on the way.
MovieShot™
MovieShot provides pictures, biographies, and recent projects from IMDb pages on entertainment-related topics, including movies and TV, cast and crew.
PhotoShot™
PhotoShot puts an entire online photo album into a Shot. PhotoShots can be triggered by links to files hosted on: Photobucket, Flickr, Picasa Web.
AudioShot™
AudioShot plays .mp3 files within a Shot and also displays information such as the track, the artist, the album art, etc., if they can be determined.
ProductShot™
ProductShot automatically shows the Amazon.com listing for a product.
MapShot™ (beta)
MapShots are activated off of links pointing to Google Maps. Once triggered it displays a map of an address, a point of interest or a location specified using latitude and longitude.
